Easily fitted to almost any car our roof top tent range includes tents that sleep from 2 to 5 people. In soft shell, hard shell and even hybrid shell designs.

We offer a warm welcome. Demonstrator models, accessories and basic overnight camping are available at our workshop & showroom situated in Chichester, West Sussex.

SOFT SHELL

A Soft shell roof tent generally has a removable cover and can have a larger footprint that extends beyond the vehicle.

HARD SHELL

A Hard shell roof tent is particularly quick to erect. Ideal for quick getaways and frequent moves, they tend to have a smaller footprint.

HYBRID SHELL

The newer hybrid style roof tent combines the best of both soft and hard shell roof tent design in one package.

I went to see Simon after spotting his ID buzz camper locally to me. I knew which roof tent i wanted. On speaking to him he explained he was able to source me a 6month old one which a customer was looking to sell. He got the tent in for me, installed it on my van along with an awning rail i needed. Really happy with the outcome. Nice to go to him and for him not to immediately just sell me a new one which would have probably made him more profit. Helped me and his previous customer out. Really chuffed.

So glad we found this place. Had been researching for ages to buy a roof tent but on a complete whim, decided to see if we could find anywhere where we could see and try - found Rooftentutopia was not far from home, so headed down.
So helpful, brought different options out for us to try, fully explained pros and cons on each option - all this, knowing that we weren't looking to buy for a couple of months.
Can't recommend enough and will be heading back in Oct to buy our chosen option and they'll even fit it for us. If you're in the market for a roof tent, definitely pay them a visit.

Brilliant from start to finish.
They were very helpful and responsive to emails and when I went to their showroom they explained everything in great deal and answered my many many questions.
The then fitted my new roof tent that afternoon and helped me with setting up and again answered all my questions.
I can't recommend these guys highly enough.

After meeting Simon at the National Outdoor Show in March and being impressed by the Thule rooftop tent, we made the 4 hour journey to purchase it! Simon was very helpful and knowledgeable about different products. He fitted the roof tent to my vehicle and explained the operation instructions and offered lots of handy hints and tips.
Found the roof tent very comfortable, easy to use and got lots of attention and admiration from other campers on our trip to Silverstone for the F1Grand Prix!

Simon and Pete were so welcoming and helpful, and Simon took the time to take us through all of our options. Their knowledge and expertise are unmatched! They have such a great selection of tents available and they were happy to demo them for us. Nothing was too much to ask and they didn't seem to mind that we stayed for hours deliberating! Once we made our decision they fitted our roof bars and tent with ease. We will definitely be back for some other bits and bobs as we prepare for our big trip! #nomeanfiat

A trip from Peterborough to Chichester was well worth it. We went with a few tents in mind and ended up with something else.
The ability to view and try so many versions was in itself worth the long day.
Simon shared his knowledge and experience and demonstrated s number of tents that fit our criteria.
The order was placed and several days later a trip to Corby to have the Sheepie Tuna 160 fitted.
If you're on the hunt for a rooftop tent these guys are a must

What can I say Simon and Pete are as said before your best option for all your roof tent needs. I bought a tent off them last week after meeting them at the adventure overland show last september from that meeting to the purchase they have been first class answering all of our many questions (including are you sure I won't fall out). I'd highly recommend giving Rooftent Utopia first call if a roof tent is what your after! The customer service from Simon and the guys is outstanding. I travelled from South Wales to find plenty of tents on display, and had demonstrations of all tents which really helped me decide which one would be best for me! These guys are genuine and use the same tents that they sell which gives you confidence in the product your buying. They also have a good range of good quality accessories on sale so you have everything you need for your first night away.

Well worth a visit, if you are looking for a roof tent, good variety of quality roof tents, (all in stock when we visited). Fitted while we waited.

Nothing was too much trouble, Simon talked us through all the options based on our criteria, very knowledgeable of all products on offer. Having had a tent from elsewhere, that we returned, it was well worth the 8 hour round trip to check out alot of top quality tents in person. Nothing beats lying on a mattress before parting with your cash.

Once we had eventually made our choice, the guys fitted the roof tent to suit the orientation we wanted. Then walked us through setup and take down.

Wouldn't hesitate to head back if we ever wanted another. Up
